Mantova: Museum of Palazzo Ducale

Three months after the earthquake has reopened to the public , the Museum of Palazzo Ducale in Mantua. To celebrate this opening part was inaugurated the exhibition From Mantua to Wurttemberg Barbara Gonzaga and his court.

The exhibition focuses clearly on the figure of Barbara Gonzaga of Mantua (1455-1503), daughter of Ludwig II, who holds, as the first Duchess of Württemberg, a particular importance in the country's history.

Barbara Gonzaga of Mantua came across the Alps to become the bride of Eberhard the Bearded, and in 1474 celebrated the famous wedding of Urach and shaped the life of the court of his residence in Urach, Stuttgart and Böblingen.

The exhibition emphasizes and allows you to learn about the cultural and political context of different princely courts, with an emphasis on Barbara and her personal testimonies, including letters, pictures, objects and precious jewels.
