On Saturday 20th October Ravenna will host the 6th Notte d'Oro, a special event that puts the spotlight on the city's most evocative, historical corners, which will provide the stage for events and shows of great interest from 6pm through to dawn.
This year's event will once again be based around four themes: Music, Mosaics, Tales and Mystery.
There will be lots of Music for everyone, from soul and rock concerts to classical and organ music in the Basilica of San Vitale, while at 11pm Piazza del Popolo will be the setting for the headline concert by Elio a le Storie Tese.
But it is the city's Mosaics that take centre stage once again: the Basilica of San Vitale and the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia.
